Segfault when DISPLAY is set but no X server is running #189

Gource immediately throws a segmentation fault when DISPLAY is set but no X 
server is running. I'm thinking it should print something helpful on stderr 
instead.

$ DISPLAY=:42 gource
Segmentation fault

Using v0.37 on Ubuntu 12.04.
