For events with sign-in codes, members who sign in are automatically granted hours and are removed from the hour assignment page when the event organizers go to enter hours. While this is a reasonable approach, it makes it difficult to modify hours (in the case of volunteers helping out for longer than initially intended) and can be confusing to newer officers unfamiliar with the system.

This should be changed. A guide would help, yes, but it doesn’t solve the root deficiency.
