TBS Agent supplies various versions of freedomtx for download & install onto at least the TBS mambo radio, but there is no source code correspondingly labeled in this repository.

Perhaps some code simply needs to be labeled? Or perhaps the link to the source code on the project page needs to be changed?

I'm sure the authors of this fork of opentx are aware of the licensing requirements for derivative works of opentx.

What got merged? FreedomTX into OpenTX? Certainly not. What gets delivered via TBS Agent is FreedomTX and the source code from that does not get published. @jmesmon has a valid point.
