Unreadable prints #1

My printer: HP Office Jet Pro 8022 is well recognized.

I have printed 2 documents: 1X PDF document, 1Xlsx document.

In both cases, unreadable symbols are printed on dozens of pages. (See photo)

Device: Vollaphone OTA-21 stable

However, it's a pretty good start, This will certainly be a "must have" app in Ubuntu Touch. Thanks so much for this!

Hi Steve, thanks for your feedback. The app just sends the document to the printer, no conversion is done, so your printer must be able to correctly handle the document type, e.g. sending .ps documents to postscript printers should work. I have only tested it with a Canon MF520 printer. Printing PDFs with this printer works fine.

Thank you for the very quick react. Indeed, I guess HP printers do not handle the incoming data the same way as Canon does. (No problem with PCs and Android / IOS phones)

Unreadable prints

Do you have a Linux machine? Could you add your printer and configure it to be shared via the network? Could you then try selecting the shared printer instead of directly? With any luck the document conversion will happen on the computer.

Note: I'm on focal, using xenial version. Both of us had HP lazer printers. My printer worked before. Printing same document from desktop linux mint worked. My document was a .pdf

Just chiming in I had the issue again. I think it's related to wether or not there are multiple pages to the print
