I don't think desktop notifications are working. Do they only work on element/tchap desktop, which we don't have ? Is it a known issue ?

If they don't work, then the onboarding task about desktop notifications should not be displayed (it would be an element-web bug)

Other report from @Delphgateau : this displays on chrome when you try to enable them :

Report from @Nivann : he used to have desktop notifications, but only when chrome was open.
