Limiting of alphabetic characters for names

Some names, especially patronymic ones, contain full stops or slashes (in the form of s.o. or s/o, for instance). It would be nice if the application could log these kinds of names into its system. I'm putting this in although it might fall under the "extreme inputs" in the future work section of the DG, and the fact that I believe nowadays most people drop the s.o./s/o

Thanks for the idea! Handling special characters is indeed considered handling extreme input which will be implemented in future enhancement.
