"there is no way to slow down the hardware to match the simulated environment"

Are we worried about slowing down the simulation to real time, or just figure we could 'sleep' as necessary... just imagining a reviewer commenting on that

I was just thinking that we could sleep as necessary. Maybe worth putting in as a footnote?
