Is there a reason your other devices can't connect to the ad-hoc wireless network from your Macbook?
1)they are not compatible with adhoc networks 2)they are Ethernet only
Hence the reason to share the connection over Ethernet to my router...

weird, but why not :-)
do you have a device to create the wifi network? (like a airport station or something else)
Yes I have a router that's for a 3G phone but can also use a wan...

put all your devices on the same network (iPhone, wii, ps3, xbox), grab your iPhone ip on the wifi, and then configure the other devices to use a proxy, and give your iPhone ip as the proxy server (and set correctly the proxy port according to iproxy).
So essentially the same way I connect my laptop to my phone do it that way?
1)Xbox has no wifi
That's why I connect the Ethernet to my router or directly to MacBook.

you said you have a wifi device, like an airport station... plug your xbox to your airport station, connect your iPhone to the wifi. Configure your airport station to be as bridge, with no dhcp.
otherwise, use the macbook to share your internet connection from the wifi to ethernet (using the system preference). Should work also.
In both case, you have to setup the proxy in your xbox based on the iPhone ip and the iproxy port.
Ok so
1) figure out how to set router to be a bridge 2) no dhcp 3) every device has to know about the proxy
Correct?

dhcp might be problem I'm not sure, I never tried... if it is, the easiest, is to use network sharing in the system preferences. And of course, all devices has to support proxy... that's the all point of iproxy
The internet seems to say that Xbox doesn't support proxies. When I get home I will try to directly connect Xbox to the computer and share the wifi connection. Eliminating the router for simplicity...

If it doesn't support proxy, there is nothing you can do.... you are using iproxy : it's a proxy...
Yeah... I just figured that sharing the connection would make it "just work" I'm not that smart when it comes to networking ;)

It worked on the playstation. I left dhcp on and just entered the proxy. And shared the connection from MacBook. The Xbox has no proxy settings sadly :(
So I will have to wait for a iPhone 4s jailbreak to be able to tether everything...

Is there a way I can share the connect to my MacBooks ethernet port so that a router could pick this up so that I can connect my xbox/ps3/wii/etc.
