Notes | This bdq:Supplementary test is not regarded as CORE (cf. bdq:CORE) because of one or more of the reasons: not being widely applicable; not informative; not straightforward to implement or likely to return a high percentage of either bdq:COMPLIANT or bdq:NOT_COMPLIANT results (cf bdq:Response.result). A Supplementary test may be implemented as CORE when a suitable use case exists. |
See the comments under #256 which is a duplicate - so comments may still apply.
Georeference metadata, of which georeferencedDate is an example, apply to the georeferencing process, not just to the result. For example, it is hoped that georeferencedDate and georeferencedBy would be provided after following the georeferencing process, even if no spatial representation is created, as it tells that someone went to the effort and were not able to produce a georeference, which could be very useful for any future attempt. Thus, be aware that having metadata without having spatial representation may be perfectly valid, and even welcome.
If a use case for Georeference Quality were to be created (a good target for a task group), this test and others like it would be quite valuable to develop into the standard.
