I would argue to remove the home link in the navbar for all websites. Users can reach the home of the website by clicking on the title in the menu, which is also more explicit about what home you will end up at.
Not everyone will arrive on Chrono from Darwin Core, so I find it a bit odd to have the same menu dropdowns for both. Can we reduce the dropdowns for Chrono for the elements that are specific to Chrono? That is also easier to maintain.
For an easy way back, maybe we could list Darwin Core somewhere, e.g. as the only additional element in the dropdowns.
I suggest:
# Links listed below will be included in your site's navbar (navigation at the top)
- text: Terms
menu:
- text: Chronometric Age
href: /list/
- text: "---"
- text: Darwin Core
href: https://dwc.tdwg.org/list/
- text: Guides
menu:
- text: Chronometric Age Quick Reference
href: /terms/
- text: "---"
- text: Darwin Core Quick Reference
href: https://dwc.tdwg.org/terms/
- text: GitHub
href: https://github.com/tdwg/chrono
I see #44 was merged.
