Submissions in the past have been acknowledged with cc's to the conference primary contact (here, Hank), and to OCS_Admin@mobot.org. I am thinking that an alternative email alias may need to be established or that would restrict access to this conference (or TDWG conference) items within the MOBOT instance of OCS (I am thinking that OCS_Admin is much broader, even though it probably right now = William).
Is this true this year for posters?
"Maximum size is A1 (594 x 840mm or 33 x 23.5 inches in either orientation). Presenters must accompany poster during scheduled poster session. Double-sided sticky tape will be provided to adhere your poster to the poster board."
I agree that you might list yourself as technical contact for now.
Guessing that posters are probably not that size (A1 seemed like a Sweden constraint), let's ask Lucy.
OCS_Admin is probably William. I'll check with Chuck on that!
Poster size will depend on the size and cost of the display boards, and number of posters anticipated. A1 has been the norm, but I think it was relaxed last year or the year before when we realized we could. It certainly is very small for what most of us in the US are used to submitting as posters.
Do we have the name and address of the scheduled conference location?
done
Hi the A1 was a constrain from a conference long ago (do not remember where) where they had limited space and they asked for A1 which is a bit a too small format. The usual format is and was always A0 and some how because we copy paste the pages from the year before this exceptional A1 keeps to pop up in recent years and each time I have clarified that we have to check with the local host the size of their panels and space to be sure ... all the best Pat
When is the call for papers expected to open and close? I have tentatively put 15 June to open and 15 July to close, since the meeting starts in late September and so many people are gone in August (not gaining anything significant). If you push it much later, people will not be able to say for their travel plans that they have an accepted presentation.
There is a lot of info in the PPT I thought was attached to the message. I've emailed it to you. I think your dates look okay, @hankbart can you comment?
Up to now we have only 25 participants who committed to come in the pre registration call. hope fully we will get many contributions from the Africans colleagues. I agree with the dates and fore see that we may extend the deadline if needed. pat
I recieved a word file from Lucy, no PPT ...
You are right, it is Word not PPT.
Excellent, thanks for the document. Cyndy, do you remember what you did to expand the categories of symposia talks to pigeonhole them with the proper symposium? It is not reflected that way on the OCS setup that I've run into yet. - NEVER MIND, I FOUND IT
Pat, I will change the poster size, but we also need to know if orientation matters (A0 = 84.1 cm width x 1.19 cm height, or if dimensions can be swapped on the boards being provided).
Fallow informatics?? Phyloinformatics Symantec technologies --was this a spelling checker error for semantic?
these need to be changed in Lucy's document
I will need help (old website) with the conference page, in the admin pages all looks fine, but on display on the website the page looks like crap! I played around with it , but no changes. for example the images although set in the admin page to be centered they remain at the left on the webpage.
here it is : http://www.tdwg.org/index.php?id=1184 was in former post
I signed in to the website and still don't see anything different from TDWG's home page with this URL. Maybe I don't have the right permissions...?
Current timeline settings -- go to archive has changed to 31 December 2015 because of error message. -gk
Who should be the principal contact for the Conference website in OCS? Pat? Lucy? Hank? Me? Last year it was Anders as program chair who was listed. I can do things in OCS, but I don't expect anyone in this list of possibles but Pat to actually be able to do anything with the part of the website that is controlled by tdwg.org
Can Pat and I both be listed as principals for the website?
It is more a contact person, they only provide room for one. Everyone will be listed for the committees etc. (should make sure that I have the names and affiliations and probably emails for all). I think it should be whomever is most likely to be able to not only answer questions but do something, or if two, who wants to hear about it and tell the other if necessary. ;)
Sorry for the delay in commenting on the Word Document Cyndy posted.(?) I assume this is the draft conference website information Lucy and LOC sent. I'm in the process of editing this, proposing deadline dates, and producing content on the pre-conference training workshop. Our goal is to get the content completed by the middle of this month. The site will go live as soon as Stan or whomever can format it in HTML.
I need help setting up a username and password for this OCS site for the 2015 conference: https://mbgserv18.mobot.org/ocs/index.php/tdwg/2015.
You have to be logged into the "back end" to see it. I'll get Gail's permissions set or corrected. Anyone else who wants editing access, let me know. -Stan

Stan, I'm in to the MOBOT site and setting up 2015, it was Pat's question about the TDWG site where I saw nothing more than the short paragraph about the upcoming meeting (she mentioned images and alignment and I saw none of this).
Hank, I'll help with that (password) but I'm still in the middle of setting up the 2015 OCS portion of the site. I'm assuming that you need these for Frank and Emily?
Frank and Emily have been added as Directors and Track Directors. Frank did his own; I sent Emily an invitation through the system (Enroll a new user) and then added both to the tracks.
Gail, I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with it first, so I can help Frank and Emily understand it.
I understand--I'm having to do that too in setting this up. The 2015 (mobot OCS) site isn't yet ready, that part having to do with submitting a paper. I'm just now filling in all of the pieces and it may not be finished until later today (there are lots of pieces and I am also working on something else).
One thing that would be very helpful for me is if you have the full information (title, organizers, organizer email and institution) for all of the proposed symposia and workshops as this needs to be entered and I'm assuming since the site wasn't set up, that this is in someone's email. I know that the list appears on http://www.tdwg.org/homepage-news-item/article/tentative-list-of-symposia-and-sessions/ but this is not all of the required information that OCS requires.
From the list http://www.tdwg.org/homepage-news-item/article/tentative-list-of-symposia-and-sessions/, I have added all of the organizers listed as Track Directors, so that they may be assigned abstracts to read and approve for their sections. The following people do not appear to be in the system: Pearce; Parmelon; and I need confirmation that "Reed" = Denne Reed.
I also need to know which of these titles and abstracts are for symposia and which are for workshops during the meeting, and which are for workshops before the meeting. I cannot finish setting up the Conference tracks without this information, and I need the abstracts (and several of the titles need to be refined).
Hi no this is just the news for the poll for pre registration. There is a site behind the link I have you where already some of lucy word is in and part is still a copy from last year to update. Stan said it maybe an access right for you he is looking into it. He has access and could tent to some layout issues as it seems
@gkampmeier : I just checked and found your profile on the TDWG site you have the proper rights and should thus be able to see this page : http://www.tdwg.org/index.php?id=1184 and also edit it and also have access to the admin pages where you can also edit it in the template directly. this is normally followed up in issue number #11
I still don't see conference page either at that link, @pmergen -- it just defaults to the home page for me. I also still cannot login at /typo3 for the old site.
according to Stan you have admin rights, so I do not understand why you cannot not see it as me. The login to the old website also works. THe only way to see it would be to make it visible on the website, but it is not yet ready for that. Many @sblum can advise what to do ?
I just made Cyndy an admin this morning (2-3 hours ago). Note, to see the page, I think you have to be logged into the backend (www.tdwg.org/typo3), navigate to the page, and then view it. I don't think you can navigate to it from the front end.

What login name and password do I use for typo3?
It is the same one as you have for TDWG's site (not the OCS).
Here's the link to the program information in OCS: https://mbgserv18.mobot.org/ocs/index.php/tdwg/2015/schedConf/trackPolicies
I don't know whose name to fill in here for Technical Support Contact. I can do part of this, but seeing that the conference is regularly backed up is not one of them.
"This person will be listed on the scheduled conference's Contact page for the use of authors and reviewers, and should have experience working through the system from the perspective of all of its roles. As this conference system requires very little technical support, this should be seen as a part-time assignment. There may be occasions, for example, when authors and reviewers have difficulties with the instructions or file formats, or there's a need to ensure that the conference is regularly backed up on the server."
William's name has been here historically. One possibility is that I put in my name for now and someone at MOBOT assures us about the backup, and if there are issues I cannot resolve, I have someone to go to [I am not a real programmer!]
