Yes have also added in the news the link to the recorded presentations. They are per session not presentations. But this is fine. Links could here be added in the program at session level.
I've added a links to the OCS program (with abstracts linked), as well as:
I've also asked Gail and William about creating a better integrated version of the program with links to recorded sessions (and time-codes) and presentation slides. This is probably a bigger job, but it makes sense for ease of use and discovery.
(Not closing this until we determine if this is feasible.)
I was surprised to see that the talks on iDigBio have now been lumped into sessions https://www.idigbio.org/wiki/index.php/TDWG_2015_Annual_Conference -- I didn't think this was the case originally. It will make linking difficult as we have nothing that easily denotes sessions, and this page https://www.idigbio.org/wiki/index.php/TDWG_2015_Annual_Conference does not give the talk titles within a session (although it does link to the pdf program).
This year there are very few of the presentations on the slide upload http://www.tdwg.org/2015-conference/slides-upload/. This is where I always sent people in the past.
I don't see any way in OCS to automatically add a file or link to presentation abstracts (perhaps William knows more). If we had the URLs to the pdfs of the slides and posters (probably a better archival format than PowerPoint) and to each video, they could be manually added to each abstract (tedious but doable). The presentations link https://mbgserv18.mobot.org/ocs/index.php/tdwg/2015/schedConf/presentations can be filtered by single session (=track), but appears by session and in order within the session (this year anyway) in this list.
If we could ask Kevin to break out each talk, I think this would be more valuable than having a 90-minute lump, and it would certainly load more quickly (slower connections will surely time out). I tried listening to the BHL symposium as a trial and most of the audio had dropped out. Two of the other symposia I tried seemed OK.
iDigBio content can be set to start on the particular conference adding the archiveOffset parameter in the URL set to the number of milliseconds it should start on.
For example. the following talk starts displaying at 24:24 = ((24 min. * 60) + 24) * 1000 milliseconds, https://idigbio.adobeconnect.com/_a1130716096/p9t3w6pwoj7/?launcher=false&fcsContent=true&pbMode=normal&archiveOffset=1464000
Also, remember lights went out during BHL Workshop, so resetting everything was difficult while time was scarce.
I converted a copy of the conference program (html) into json. It has values for session, title, author first and last names, etc. I'm going to be working on getting the timecodes for everything that was recorded.
FWIW, I also talked to Kevin from iDigbio and he said he would gladly divide the talks in their own separate files. We just need to drop him a message asking/reminding him to do that in his time...
I talked with Deb Paul about the task of dividing talks and she mentioned that it is a post-recording function at this point (chopping up talks, starting/stopping the recording live increases the risk of loss unless we have enough people dedicated to the process, is my understanding) and one that takes time to do. I agree that there is much more value in having individual talks accessible, but asking Kevin to do it may not be part of what iDigBio wants to pay him for (unless he has volunteered to do this otherwise), so we need to be careful how/what we ask.
Otherwise, link is on the website [http://www.tdwg.org/conference2015/#c1700]

Is not linked to the main conference page for some reason. I thought we typically have a link.
