A user submitted this information via the Darwin Core Hour webform: Timestamp: 5/11/2020 16:03:40 Please provide a topic of interest: For sampling event data, where is dynamicProperties intended to be used and can it be used in both the event and occurrence extension for the same dataset? The examples in the term definition include both properties about the event (air temperature, humidity) and properties about the occurrence (height, weight, IUCN status). If one uses dynamicProperties in the event does that mean it can't be used in the occurrence extension? Both the Darwin Core Event Core and the Darwin Core Occurrence extension include the terms dwc:dynamicProperties. Though there is nothing that would stop each "table" from having the field, it might be easier for GBIF to consume just one, in the Occurrence extension, in which all Event and Occurrence dynamic properties were included. This is because the term names are exactly the same and because GBIF is currently producing Occurrences out of Sampling Event resources. It would be good to confirm this with GBIF, so I am mentioning @timrobertson100.
