From our ALA colleagues: 'The term isVegetationCoverReported suggests that the cover is reported in verbatimSiteDescriptions. Why not use a dwc:MeasurementOrFact (MoF) extension and report the metric in a machine-parsable way? Similarly, reportedWeather and reportedExtremeConditions will tend to require embedded JSON to properly report. Again, these could be MoFs. If the values actually apply to the inventory, rather than the event, introducing an inventoryID would allow MoFs to be linked to inventories in the same way that occurrences are in the extended measurement or fact extension.'

The Task Group discussed the recommendation at depth. Generally the Task Group agrees that what is generalizable across datasets should go as terms (e.g., reportedWeather), which allows for indexing and leaves eMOF terms available for when no specific term(s) is/are available. The Task Group .will follow-up with our ALA colleagues.
