I'm still having these issues, when can I expect a response?
The custom npc quests have to be done individually. You can’t complete them for someone else. Also, sometimes there is a sync issue with auto complete quests. Talking to an npc sometimes triggers it. This is a known issue in 1.7.10 that I can’t do anything about. You would have to use a command to push it through. Partying up only completes the better questing book
So I can't complete quests alongside my friend, making a party won't actually let quests complete or progress for the both of us simultaneously? Hmm, that's a problem.
We encountered another glitch as well, where the quest NPC dialogue refuses to actually start quests. I assume commands are how we get around that as well? Unless there's a way to forcibly update NPCs, brute force admin commands seem absolutely necessary for advancement in this pack, because it breaks more often than properly functions for us.
Hello, I am having two issues. I'm trying to use this pack to teach my friend Witchery (Spent all his 1.7.10 years on Thaumcraft and such, so understandable) Unfortunately, whenever I complete a quest, his quests are not advanced, and he cannot complete quests to progress me either. We made a team via the Party tab in the questbook, and I assumed that would be enough. If another step needs to be taken, let me know.
Secondly, I'm having an issue completing a dialogue task. Specifically the "Brewin' Cauldron" quest. We spoke with Mary to begin the quest, gathered the seeds and cauldron and made the anointing paste as instructed. However, the third part of the quest is completed (from obtaining the paste and cauldron) but the second third of the three-part mission is stuck as incomplete and I cannot advance Mary's dialogue. She repeats her instructions of applying paste to the cauldron but hearing the dialogue does not complete the task as it should and our quests refuse to progress. Currently I have opted to teaching my friend about the fumes and mutandis directly, but the quests seem to have some fairly necessary rewards for progression.
I've tried using commands to edit the quests, but nothing seems to be fixing this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
