When a decorated pot with a trim is rendered as an item (whether as a dropped item or in an inventory), decorated pots without trims will render as though they have the same trim material. This only affects items; when placed as a block, trims will not erroneously render on non-trimmed pots.
I was able to reproduce on Forge 47.1.3 with Blueprint 7.1.0 and Clayworks 3.0.1.
