Their frontend looks great!

FOSS (MIT license)
Uses Electron, we could still utilize the JS code without too much trouble
- Smooth scrolling works beautifully
Requires an account to use the app

If somehow you can get libretro to render to <canvas> with minimal input lag and without having to host emulation in the JavaScript VM, that would be very interesting.

Or through some NaCl based solution, although I'm not certain on Electron's support for NaCl plugins.
