Install git onto local machine. Git it (see what I did there?) set up correctly:

Clone the project. Make a small update to make sure it's working as expected.

Since we are using Github, I found the Github desktop client. I was able to configure it and clone the QD project. https://help.github.com/articles/set-up-git/
