Performance issues w/jQuery generated code #50

Dan S. made some very good suggestions for improving the JS code that we're generating. These should be implememented into the current code base for the time being.

John W will be working on these are bringing the changes up for discussion on the -dev list.

Some changes have been pushed to the develop branch to address this ticket. More changes may be coming, but feel free to review the current code being generated by the FW.

I have pushed John's final changes to client-side validations to develop, so I am going to close this issue. If further performance improvements are required another ticket will be opened.
