Rootstock is a Bitcoin Sidechain. It implements a Bitcoin 2-Way peg. The 2WP allows bitcoins to transferred to and from Rootstock at a fixed conversion rate. The 2WP design depends on Drivechain + federation votes as a consensus algorithm. Rootstock is still in test development. As I see it, rootstock will implement all of ethereum functionality. Rootstock is also backwards-compatible with Ethereum, so Ethereum distributed applications (DApps) can be easily ported to Rootstock and achieve interoperability with Bitcoin.

Now doing an ICO for 364 days. 1 biilion (NL: miljard) coins, keeping 1 million for the company behind EOS. (a canadian company called block.one). EOS has a public testnet. Smart Contracts are written in C; example: https://github.com/EOSIO/eos/blob/master/contracts/currency/currency.cpp

"To ensure inclusivity, EOS Tokens have no pre-determined price; rather price is set by market demand. This mimics mining without giving potential unfair advantages to large purchasers."
