tebl / C64-Stereo-SID

There are many Stereo SID boards, but this one in mine... Add a second SID of the same type or newer substitutes for adding stereo audio to your system...

Hello, Do I think right? In this configuration, I should:

Commodore64C Pal (short board), SID8580 + ARMSID (6581 mode),

tebl commented 2 years ago

Yes, I believe that is correct.

Hello, Do I think right? In this configuration, I should:

  • C70 / C71 -> 22nF
  • R8 - not installed
  • R3 - not installed
  • R2 - install a wire
  • JP1 (2-3) pseudo stereo mode (dual SID $d400)

There are two pins where the CS for SID2 comes in, the other is VCC. Using SPST toggle switch, wire the middle pin goes to this pin on the PCB. The other goes to the real select pin (most likely from cartridge connector) and the third to this VCC line. That would give you the ability to toggle it on and off.

Hello, first thanks to share the circuit. I have built the circuit (rev. C) I send you two screenshots so you can see a detail .Please say me if the pcb is OK or has an issue https://i.postimg.cc/sfPT3c30/capture1.jpg http://url https://i.postimg.cc/C50JjZsN/capture2.jpg http://url Once assembled with two 6581 I have not installed R3 and I have put a cable in R2. I want to use it in normal mode with only one SID and activate the other one for dualsid files. How do I turn SID 2 on and off? You talk about EXT_IN SEL1 and EXT_IN SEL2 but this rev ony have EXT_IN SEL1. In 3 pins i have selected 2-3 Dual SID. Thanks

Tebl, I could really use some help here. First thanks for making this PCB and releasing it for others to use.

I'm having a hard time understanding the outgoing connectors on the top of the board (9 in total)

My goal is to have it running on a Mssiah set up in 6581 mode for the primary sid and a sidpico (or other 6581) in the other. Both out putting to RCA Jacks for the left and right channels. For this the CS wire going to Pin 7 on the cartridge port as required by Mssiah.

It would be nice to be able to turn off the connection to Pin 7 fro Mssiah so the system could be used with other software.

Can you explain going from the left side of the board #1 to the right #9 where each is connected to the mother board or rca jack etc. It would really help.
