PeopleTec is currently seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer/Scientist to support our Huntsville, AL location.
We are seeking scientists and engineers who are interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting edge technologies to include: directed energy, missile defense, and space systems. The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Huntsville team and will work on projects involving modeling and simulation product design, development, implementation, and validation. Our team works on state-of-the-art projects, blending engineering skills and software design. Our team members work with a wide-ranging group of customers to develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nation's most pressing challenges.

Duties Include:
Understanding and developing solutions to support emerging needs in a dynamic environment
Planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of products
Maintaining and evolving software architectures and external interfaces to expand capabilities of models and simulations
Supporting flight test analysis, planning, and execution
A successful candidate will be a well-rounded scientist or engineer with strong mechanical and aerospace modeling skills, a desire to learn new tools/technology, and a drive to develop solutions to support our customers.
work as part of a team to develop technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of subsystems into a microservice-oriented architecture framework.
work in an agile development environment that requires initiative, attention to detail, independent thought and action, and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined teaming environment.

Required Skills/Experience:
Mechanical and aerospace modeling and simulation experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills in application of requirements analysis, design and development, unit testing, verification, integration, and reporting
Programming experience in C++, C#, and/or Python, with experience operating standard development tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)
Experience developing/integrating engineering tools in an Agile environment
Sound oral and written communication skills to clearly present and communicate technical approaches and findings to the team and the government customer
Excellent technical writing skills
Ability and desire to will work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
Travel: Up to 5%
Must be a U.S. Citizen
An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics) and 5 years or more of professional experience.

Desired Skills:
Previous experience with or domain knowledge of the Software in the Loop and Hardware in the Loop systems is preferred
Previous experience working in an Agile development environment as part of a Scrum Team is preferred
Higher degrees (Masters, PhD) are preferred
