The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Huntsville team and will work on projects involving mission and flight planning, software product design, development, testing, and analysis. Our team supports state-of-the-art projects, blending engineering skills and software design to perform research and analysis, modeling and simulation, software development, testing, and verification. Team members work with a wide-ranging group of customers to understand project requirements and develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nation's most pressing challenges. Our employee owners support our customers by: · Understanding and developing solutions to support emerging needs in a dynamic environment · Planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of products · Maintaining and evolving software architectures and external interfaces to expand capabilities of models and simulations · Supporting flight test analysis, planning, and execution The successful candidate will be an adaptable, agile, experienced senior software engineer, with experience as a software architect. Our selected candidate will be a consummate team player who is capable of spearheading the creation of a software architecture that facilitates the design and integration of software systems to support of DoD weapon systems. The software architect will be a key member of the project leadership team, working with the Product Owner, the Systems Engineering Team Lead, and the Software Development Team Lead to define system requirements, create a compliant architecture, and integrate/develop software components. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess effective communication skills, and have skills and experience with a micro-service-based open systems architecture.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university and ten years of progressively complex experience in computer software, simulation, integration, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases, high-order programming languages, and operating systems A relevant master's degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years of relevant work experience. A relevant PHD degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three years of relevant work experience.
