PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Engineer for Advanced Weapon Systems to support our Huntsville, AL location.

PeopleTec is seeking a multidisciplinary engineer who is interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting edge technologies to include hypersonics, directed energy, missile defense, and space systems. The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Huntsville team and have the opportunity to work on projects involving mission planning, flight test modelling and execution, flight test training, and post-mission analysis. The candidate will also play a key role in the integration of PeopleTec efforts into a hardware-in-the-loop customer-driven systems integration lab. Our team works on state-of-the-art projects, blending engineering skills and software design to perform research and analysis, modeling and simulation, software development, testing, and verification. Team members work with a wide-ranging group of customers to understand project requirements and develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nation's most pressing challenges.

Personnel support the customer by:

Understanding and developing solutions to support emerging needs in a dynamic environment

Planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of products

Maintaining and evolving software architectures and external interfaces to expand capabilities of models and simulations

Supporting flight test analysis, training, planning, and execution

A successful candidate will be a well-rounded engineer with an aerospace background, familiarity with radiofrequency and electromagnetic radiation, proficiently in the development of models and simulations, and a drive to develop solutions to support all areas of flight testing.

We are seeking individuals who are excited to work as part of a team to develop technical specifications, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of subsystems into a flight-testing framework.

Candidates will work in an Agile development environment that requires engagement, initiative, attention to detail, independent thought and action, and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined teaming environment.

Required Skills/Experience:

Experience in trajectory analysis and flight test modeling and simulation

Ability to lead modeling and simulation efforts that will support the analysis of radiofrequency and electromagnetic radiation propagation and attenuation

Experience in the analysis and decomposition of customer requirements and the subsequent development of measurable tasks to be completed by the engineering and software teams

Ability to apply an interdisciplinary approach to ensure technical needs are translated into step-by-step processes to produce efficient and effective results

Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills in support of requirements analysis, program design and development, unit testing, verification, integration, and reporting

Familiar with high level programming languages such as C++, C#, and/or Python

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)

Familiarity with the development and integration of engineering tools in an Agile environment

Sound oral communication and technical writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical approaches and findings to the team and the government customer

The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Travel: Up to 20%

Must be a U.S. Citizen

An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (engineering, mathematics) and 15 years or more of professional experience in an engineering discipline. A relevant master's degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years of relevant work experience. A relevant PhD degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three years of relevant work experience.

Desired Skills:

Master's degree plus 13 years of experience performing multidisciplinary engineering for DoD programs

Experience in developmental test and/or operational test and evaluation for DoD programs is a plus
