PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.
The Senior Engineer will be supporting Missile Defense Agency Innovation, Science and Technology program element in the Science and Technology Roadmap and Capture directorate. The Senior Engineer provides direct support to the government customer in overseeing the progress of active research efforts and providing clear and accurate reporting back to the government customer.

Duties Include:
Identify and resolve complex issues across organizational boundaries requiring in-depth knowledge of engineering fields in structural, propulsion, optical, chemistry, physics, operations research, mathematics, and computer science fields.
Duties include aligning emerging technology innovation to capture promising emerging technologies for transition into the Missile Defense System Future Architecture, and prioritization within the Agency's S T Roadmap.
Act as Chief Technology Officer in support of assigned program element chief engineer to provide two-way sharing of innovative concepts and opportunities.

Required Skills/Experience:
7+ years of related professional experience
Demonstrated expertise in project management needed to plan and develop emerging technology capabilities and analysis priorities.
Demonstrated cross-cutting knowledge of the MDS to successfully develop and optimize technologies for next generation missions utilizing system and component analysis principles required to successfully transition technology with system architecture.
Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate projects across multiple organizations.
Travel: 10%
Must be a U.S. Citizen
An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Desired skills would include tracking and managing fast tempo projects with attention to detail and schedule.
Demonstrated skill and experience in managing the development of technical products.
Demonstrated skill in oral and written communications, developing and presenting briefing and preparing technical reports.
Exceptional skills working with senior executive government customers in Science and Technology.
