Nobletech Solutions is seeking a Software Developer (Flight Performance) to develop software applications for aviation flight missile planning. The developer will have direct coordination with stakeholders and team members to define software requirements and will be responsible for successful on-schedule implementation of these requirements.

Responsibilities:

Review and analysis of Flight Manuals and/or flight test data in conjunction with the Performance planning Card (PPC) or Takeoff and Landing Data (TOLD) for rotorcraft and fixed wing aircraft. Based on the available information, determine the structure of the calculations (identifying both data source and logical operations) necessary to complete the required fields on the PPC/TOLD.
Perform equivalent analysis process to determine if there is adequate available information (data and logic structures) to build the required interface modes for the Mission Planning System (primarily PFPS or XPlan, possibility of JMPS).
Analysis of customer-provided aircraft configuration sheets to determine appropriate input/output sets to represent the aircraft via the Flight Performance Model interface.
Modification of the existing US aircraft performance models to represent Foreign Military cases (for example, using an existing US model as the basis of an FMS that has different appendages that could affect drag/performance).
Generation of .xml code and appropriately formatted and processed data sets necessary to model the aircraft performance with the existing calculation engine (calc engine is primarily C#, MPS interface is C). Note: the .xml structure has already been defined and will be taught by established team members; ther are also .xml generation tools to assist in correctly formatting the code and data to work with the calc engine.
Testing and documenting data calculations and logic structures to ensure that the code generates mathematical answers equivalent to the source data (flight manual or flight test data), validation data sets provided by 3rd party review, or SME/user-provided output samples.
Software development / systems engineering tasks: code reviews, document reviews, generation of requirements/RTM/SRS, assisting with developing test cases, and writing release notes. Responsible for generating the model data design diagrams and message trigger diagrams, documenting the traceability and model calculation logic, and writing the Validation Report (VR).
Identify data requirments, validation data, respond to questions about model calculation logic, and support Airworthiness reviews.

Job Requirements:

BS in Aerospace, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong math modeling background
Experience in aeronautical/aerodynamics/aeromechanics modeling
Experience using .xml, C#, and/or C
Very detail-oriented, self-motivated
Familiarity with military aircraft mission planning is highly desireable
Requires US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance
