Key Responsibilities:

Provides software engineering design and development expertise in support of project software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities
Designs and develops Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) simulation software
Implements C and C++ Linux applications
Follows established processes and procedures
Develops necessary engineering documentation
Delivers completed software implementations
Participates in peer reviews

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related area from an accredited college or university, is required
6 - 12 years of overall software design and development experience in support of SDLC activities, is required

Experience Preferred:

Experience with the design and development of simulation software solutions, is preferred
Experience with TCP/IP and UDP networking, is preferred
Experience with the Eclipse IDE, is preferred

Knowledge/Skills:

Familiarity with software design/development engineering techniques and best practices
Understanding of the software development life-cycle activities
Experience with Unix/Linux OS, is required
Implementation of C and C++ applications, is required

Knowledge/Skills Preferred:

Knowledge of Government standards and requirements, is preferred
Exposure to CMMI and other process improvement models, is preferred

Occasional Travel is possible (up to 10%)

U.S. Citizenship is required

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
