PeopleTec is currently seeking a System Administrator to support our Huntsville, AL location.
Required Skills/Experience:
Install, configure, and provide advanced troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory Group Policy, VMware Horizon VDI Clients, Zero Clients, and some Linux Support and operate an IT infrastructure to include Virtual Servers, Virtual Desktops (VDI), Physical Servers, SAN devices Experience with VMware vSphere Suite of products Understand Networking concepts such as vLANs, routing, LACP, trunking, etc. Configuring virtual networks and devices that leverage specific network technologies (the virtual environments consist of different versions of VMware technologies and utilize vDS exclusively) Provide help desk support by responding to trouble tickets to include user interaction to diagnose and resolve problems CompTIA Security+ certification Travel: Up to 5% Must be a U.S. Citizen An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements:
A completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other related technical field with 5+ years of experience; or a related Master's degree with 2 years of experience; or 8 years of experience without a degree. A degree with emphasis on Cyber Security is a plus as are computing environment certifications (VMware vSphere 6, Windows, Security +).
Desired Skills:
Experience with VMware Horizon View VDI Knowledge of backup methodologies and best practices Experience with patching cycles and DISA IAVA mitigation Experience with databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) Knowledge and experience with enterprise-class systems to include all critical components Must be able to interact with users in a professional manner in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
