PeopleTec is currently seeking a Project Engineer to support the Aviation Turbine Engine Project Office in Huntsville, AL.
Job Description:
Serve the ITE/FVL Project Office as the lead engineer responsible for monitoring and providing assessments of enterprise Science & Technology (S&T) efforts, including JMR, across all Army Aviation technical domains. Responsible for identifying and assessing gaps between program technology requirements and S&T activities, and providing recommendations for mitigation strategies to reduce risk. Develop and maintain roadmaps of enterprise S&T efforts showing major milestones and technology maturation timelines. Support Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF) efforts, including development and documentation of proposals, and support of funded efforts. Support all program technology maturation assessments and assist in assessing program schedules with respect to technology maturation and transition. Conduct/review systemlevel trade studies and analyses to support development of requirements. Provide input into development and documentation of ITE and FVL technical and contract requirements. Coordinate with ITE/FVL programs to assess program/project technical risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Provide seniorlevel support to the Tech Chief, ITE Leadership and FVL Leadership as required. Develop, coordinate, and deliver briefings to senior Army leadership, up to DA level.
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience with developing, submitting, and supporting SBIR and RIF efforts. Experience working in or closely with an Army Aviation Project or Program office. Understanding of Technology Readiness Levels and experience with Technology Readiness Assessments. Ability to manage complex development and engineering projects. Ability to manage a SharePoint site. Travel: 35% Must be a U.S. Citizen An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements:
BS in an engineering field Minimum of 7 years' experience with Army Aviation technologies, including propulsion, structure, dynamics, flight controls, mission equipment, electrical, weapons, and sustainment technologies. Minimum of 4 years' experience working directly in a Science & Technology area related to Army Aviation.
