PeopleTec is currently seeking a Data Analyst to support our Huntsville, AL location.

The Data Analyst will support a diverse team of domain experts, developers, and data scientists in designing and testing multiple data systems. The Analyst will independently collect, analyze and interpret data in one or more management, scientific and engineering disciplines. The data analyst will also organize technical data and reports into summaries for management review.

Required Skills/Experience:

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance
Strong analytical skills such as understanding how to interpret customer needs and translate them into actionable metrics and business intelligence
Experience in creating, delivering and analyzing key metrics in dashboards
Ability to write scripts for data processing and data parsing
Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience using data analysis and visualization techniques and platforms such as: Splunk, Tableau, and/or PowerBI
Travel: 5-10%
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline is required. An additional 4 years of analytics experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Candidate must have at least 1 - 3 years direct experience in data analytics.

Desired Skills:

Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server
Versed in applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
Familiarity with signal processing, probability and statistics, and basic software design principles 
Experience in agile software methodologies, architectural design patterns, and model development and sustainment.
Understanding of software and algorithm development in Python and R. Familiarity with testing and analysis of developed solutions
