(nSI) has an opening for a Lead UI/UX Web Developer in Huntsville, AL to provide support to our Technical Solutions Team within our rapidly growing technology company, with multiple locations, operating in the missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, and space control market spaces.
The successful candidate will combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with both program management and our engineering team to translate business requirements to beautiful interfaces.
Responsibilities
Develop and innovate new user interface designs based on requirements
Build reusable UI components for use in several applications
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implementation
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders using the Agile methodology
Job Requirements
5+ years of experience working in the UI/UX field for a web application
Proficient understanding of modern web development practices
Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment to create features from concept to completion
Security Clearance Level: Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance with the US government
Preferred Skills
Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS
Proficient understanding of the Angular web framework
Good knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Adobe XD
Good understanding of modern hand-off practices between design and development
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and Gitlab
Experience with data visualization techniques and libraries
