Description

Hexagon is seeking a talented and passionate web developer building sophisticated applications for the transportation industry. You will contribute to scoping, designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining full-stack web applications and/or system integrations for customers in North America. You need a strong combination of technical expertise, communication skills, and customer orientation to work collaboratively with clients and team members to build modern web applications, RESTful web services, and/or mobile applications.

Responsibilties

• Explore business workflows and technical requirements with clients
• Design and implement modern web applications using Object-Oriented JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Prepare and present proof-of-concept demonstrations, communicate solution design, integration touch points, technical risks and mitigation strategies to clients
• Estimate effort required to implement features and tasks for projects
• Troubleshoot customer installations and provide onsite and/or remote support to clients
• Research new methodologies and technologies to bring new knowledge to the team

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience developing full-stack web applications
• Experience developing JavaScript applications using front-end UI libraries
• Experience developing Windows Server-based applications in Java and/or .NET

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of SQL, experience with spatial databases highly preferred
• Knowledge of geospatial processes, technologies, data formats is a plus
• Advanced analytical, technical skills and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communications skills in English, both oral and written
• Industry experience in Transportation is a strong plus
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
