About Position

Lingo is looking for a full time Frontend Engineer to help us build the Lingo web app and web based integrations.

Lingo was released in 2016 to simplify the way design and marketing teams store, share and manage their digital assets. The digital asset management space has long been dominated by complex enterprise solutions that are overwhelming for many teams. By focusing on the features that users actually need and implementing them through our thoughtful, experience driven process, Lingo helps customers assemble and distribute their digital asset libraries to teams of all sizes from 5, or 5,000 people.

As part of the team you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and our Head of Product to build and deliver the best user experience for the Lingo web app and other web based products. What you'll do here

• Build and maintain accessible features using React, Redux, and our REST API
• Create and update styles using styled-components
• Write tests for new and existing code using mocha, sinon, chai, jest, and react-testing-library
• Collaborate with other engineers via code review and proposals
• Collaborate with product management and designers to suggest implementation changes
• Deploy changes to production and monitor for errors
• Provide technical feedback during product discovery, design, and implementation
• Document new reusable components using Storybook.js
• Break down use cases into tasks and dependencies for smaller projects
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API design

Requirements

• Experience with React and state management techniques
• Strong knowledge of web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; both with engineers and others.
• A history of delivering successful web applications as part of a product/engineering team.
• Familiar with typescript + react (not required)
