Plotting problem with Matplotlib backend - Windows 7 (32 bits)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. from scitools.std import *
2. x = linspace(0, 2*pi, 100); y = exp(sin(x**2))
3. plot(x, y, 'b-o')

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see a plot of f(x) = exp(sin(x**2))! 
My IPython session look as the following:

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I use python-scitools 0.7 under a Windows 7 32 bits.

Please provide any additional information below.
I've installed the Python(x, y) package and after the python-scitools.
I have the Latex distribution named MiKTeX 2.8.

Python-scitools works great under Ubuntu 10.04 but I want to be able to run it 
in Windows 7 too.
