config.ini fails to write defaults during first (or any) run #51

During a fresh install today on Jaymes Dec's macbook at CMK14, I was struck with the fact that the config.ini file fails to write defaults! It's awful. Even gives an error if you don't tell it a bot type. This is a totally wrong regression!
