When attaching the USB to Windows 10, the VEXTREME MSC(Mass Storage Controller) should mount a couple seconds and show up in Explorer.
Observed Behavior
When attaching the USB to Windows 10, the VEXTREME MSC(Mass Storage Controller) does not mount for several minutes.
The USB MSC driver does load in a few seconds, but then nothing happens on the device for several more minutes.
Steps to Reproduce
Remove the 2 pin jumper
Make sure it's not powered already by the Vectrex
Plug it into the USB port of a Windows 10 computer
Failed attempts to resolve the issue
I tried reformatting as FAT and recopying the games from Windows, and that took the expected time. Copying and deleting single files is blazing fast for a cheap 16MB SPI flash chip.
Uninstalling various drivers like USB MSC, Host Controller, etc.. and restarting the computer
Running DriveCleanup 1.6.0 with VEXTREME removed, restart, etc..
Disabling AutoPlay (physically turning it off completely in settings)
