Up until now, the addressable LEDs on VEXTREME smoothly transition from one color to the next, but some users with no-buzz Vextrex units can hear some modulation from the LEDs. For these users that do not know the love of the Vectrex buzz that would otherwise overpower this modulation, we must make an effort to resolve this.
Solution
One way is to use only colors that have no dimming, basically 6 colors (RED, YELLOW, GREEN, CYAN, BLUE, MAGENTA). It looks a bit more pastel, and it's not as smooth, but I think it's still pretty cool. We will also be adding an options menu in the near future, and you will be able to bring back the old style if you wish, and have brightness controls :D Until then, what do you think of this change??
