SuiteSparse 4.x support #60

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Some of the internal library structure for SuiteSparse has changed in the the
4.0.1+ versions. SuitesparseConfig has replaced UFConfig. Update the CMake
files to deal with this.

So I downloaded SuiteSparse 4.0.2 on macos 10.8, built it from source and was
able to link to it without any trouble.

I will try and replicate the build problems on Linux tomorrow, but there were
no changes required to build except for pointing my SEARCH_HEADERS and
SEARCH_LIBS variables to the appropriate directories.

Is this fixed? I ran into similar problems when I installed SuiteSparse 4. I
think the main difference is that SuiteSparse_config now builds a library with
timing functions that needs to be linked to (libsuitesparseconfig.a).

On macos I had no trouble using 4.0.x, I have not had a chance to see if there
is a difference in linkage on linux.
Were you able to get it working on linux? if so, could you contribute a patch
that detects the version and appropriately adds another linking dependency?
