I don't feel comfortable releasing API that suxx to public, but I guess it is 
better to have API that suxx than no API at all. I'll think about it once more 
and try to do something until the end  of the month.

+1. Your patch tool is useful. And there are lots of packages on PyPI that are 
imperfect, so that shouldn't be a barrier.
