System Hangs on 2nd Game loaded #357

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load Any Game using loader
2. Go back to Wii menu using home button
3. Load a different game using loader
4. Screen goes black and stays black.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

New game load without a problem.
Solid black screen

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.1 on Wii 4.1

Please provide any additional information below.
It works sometimes, but most of the time it hangs on loading the second game

If I Cold start the Wii (Hold Power till red and then turn on) it fixes the
issue until I try to load a second game.

A workaround I found is when I return to the Wii menu I can push the home
button and click on the Wii Menu button again (esentially Reseting the Wii)
and the issue doesn't come up until I try to load a second game without
this workaround.

Also I don't have Bootmii installed as Boot2

What cIOS are you using? If it's cIOS38_rev13 or cIOS38_rev13b , these tend to
have
this problem. The wii hangs after attempting to load a second game and you have
to do a
hard reset.

I recommend cIOS36_rev10 or cIOS38_rev14 (although installing rev.14 may give
you some
issues with SDHC cards. see issue 355)

I do have cIOS38_rev13 - I'll try another to see if that fixes the problem

This problem lies in the Channel that is packed with the coverfloader app. Try
to run
without channel, but through homebrew channel. Should work.
