Wiimote becomes inactive during launch #376

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I launch v. 1.2 from HBC.
2. Program begins initialising USB drive (I have some problems with the
drive itself: it isn't always working properly, so somtimes I get "USB not
found" message and ask to re-check for drive).
3. In the process of drive initialization Wiimote becomes inactive. All
LEDs go off on the Wiimote and when you press any button they just blink in
sequence, no other life signs. Pressing buttons on the console itself
doesn't produce any response, too. This makes re-checking for USB drive
impossible when CoverFloader asks for it in a pop-up message, since Wii has
to be rebooted to regain control of the Wiimote.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
In version 1.1, which I'm back to after this issue with 1.2, Wiimote just
stays active and I can use the program in a normal way.

Hope this issue gets fixed, and thanks for the great work so far!

This is an issue for me as well, but might be more of a hard drive issue than
an issue
with coverfloader, but if it can be fixed on the software side of things all
the better. If
my hard drive (seagate freeagent desk 1tb) is connected to the wii at any time
before
coverfloader is launched, it somehow locks the hard drive out and coverfloader
can't
connect to it. I have to wait till coverfloader fails to see a hard drive, then
plug in my
hard drive, wait for it to spin up, and then hit 'retry' to have everything
connect.
Unfortunately, like valkorn reported, this is impossible with 1.2 because the
wiimote
disconnects from the wii (and can't be re-sync'd) while coverfloader is
launching. I
don't know what you guys can do, but i figured i'd give you a little more
background
information on the issue.
