Won't Install with long file names under Windows 7 #51

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Programme refuses to install.
1. Installation generates error - "1325. ##username## is not a valid short file 
name (where the user name as set up in widows is around 20 characters long

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
See above error message in dialogue box.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?  With
what Salesforce.com edition? using Toolkit 4.0.0.10 with Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.
