Some settings revert to default #511

This is a Bug Report

I find that occasionally, some settings, particularly, "Select where new bookmarks will be added" revert to default in both the "Firefox Built-in Bookmarking" and Quick Bookmark categories.

I become aware of it when clicking on the nav bar star, which remains greyed out.

Version of the add-on: 3.1.0
Firefox edition: Firefox (regular edition)
Firefox version: 90.0.2_x64
Firefox language: English
Platform/OS: Windows
Platform/OS version: 20H2

This problem re-occurred again today.
