Maybe you should be using Default Bookmark Folder instead?
Maybe you should be using Default Bookmark Folder instead?
I used to use Default Bookmark Folder until those symptoms started, and was told to change to quick-bookmarking. Wish I knew sooner to go back to Default Bookmark Folder.
Thanks. So far, so good.
@nollinvoyd Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, this is not something I am able to replicate.
Could you provide more details on the issue? Additionally, could you confirm if the setting below is enabled, as it would have an impact on the icon being colored or not?
You are welcome to use either Default Bookmark Folder or Quick Bookmarking. The former has more features, while the later only offers a subset of the features (the "quick bookmarking" ones, hence the name). Quick Bookmarking was made for those who wants these features but not the rest.
I am a longtime user of Default Bookmark Folder and Quick Bookmarking, and this Default Bookmark Folder problem was there for a long time. I thought I reported it here, but somewhere I was told about Quick Bookmarking,
In the old Default Bookmark Folder version, things would work for a while, then the settings would all of a sudden revert to default. I had to keep reinitiating them. I knew because the address bar icons did not, according to their color, recognize the presence of the related bookmarks.
With both, the search bar icons display their colors with the red and blue when first selected, but after that, when returning to the site, the color is consistently missing.
I'm well familiar with the settings, since I had to reset them so often.
But now, thus far, Default Bookmark Folder is doing it's job.
It is happening again This is from a forum thread I bookmarked yesterday, and returned to today
I re-bookmarked it on that page, and it did what was expected by adding a duplication of the same bookmark in the preset folder
Firefox 130.1, Windows 10
I assume you're aware of this. Any chance this will be dealt with?
thanks
