Thanks @paulirish! An animated gif is a great idea for showing off what EasyMotion can do. I've been putting it off a little bit till I get one or two more features in that might change the look and feel slightly as well as make it something that'll also work in ST3. I've got some stuff on a local dev branch that I hope to finish off by next week (which should fix #21, #22, #26 and #27).
Do you have a particular program that you use to do gif creation? I've been looking around for a good one, but haven't found one that I like.
quicktime, record screen. then https://gist.github.com/SlexAxton/4989674

Sweet, that has way better output than other tools that I've seen, thanks!

Thanks again for the suggestion and tip on how to get it working! The longer term changes I want to make are taking longer than expected so I made an animated gif of the current state of the plugin. It's at the top of the README.
I'll re-record another one when the new features are in.
if you make a short video of easymotion in action i'll anim gif it in a beautiful way.
and we can add that sexyness to the readme.
i think it'd really make for a more compelling story. :)
