About strings in timeshift-gtk.desktop #205

Maybe add strings from timeshift-gtk.desktop to translation where the other strings are so its the same place and people can translate the strings more easily without having to change timeshift-gtk.desktop manually.

It seems timeshift-gtk.desktop is not translated to many languages so translators might not know about it. Also the two strings in timeshift-gtk.desktop that needs to be translated are identical. Maybe they should not be.

The translation strings for desktop file need to be in the desktop file so that the system can find them. It cannot be moved to the POT file.

They can be extracted from the po files when the desktop file is created. I dont know the details but other projects add a "_" at the front and the i think its gettext tools that extracts them.

Let me check on this

If you compare how many po files there are and how little translations there are in the .desktop file it seems in alot of projects translators dont know about the strings in the .desktop files.

Seems like 42 translation po files but only 5 translations for the strings in the .desktop file.

But its common for maybe other projects that the strings are not included in the po files and that there is no instructions telling the translations about the .desktop file and that they have to figure it out by them self.

I just think its important because its the first strings the user sees if they open the program from a menu.
