I'm using norns version 191201 on Fates on RPI 4, so maybe the issue is somewhere there(?) as no one on http://llllllll.co/ is reporting this, but mlr was not recording for me until I added this line. I can confirm that commenting it out breaks mlr for me, and uncommenting it makes it work again.
