Any ideas on the word resentobel? Â This is the title of an old song, with the opening phrase: Â "resentobel kersos era renguk, chelebuul el ngara kokyo"
kokyo is Japanese for "home town, birthplace, etc."
Maybe the plural of "sentobel"? Â but I don't know that one either

in any case it looks like a nonindigenous word in Palauan, because it contains N. the first i had thought after reading this topic was also the plural of sentobel.

I don’t recognize this word at all. I don’t even know how I would say it. Even if it had an “ng†I just don’t know.

Could you share a clip with the song please?
I'm in Palau now and I just asked what resentobel means.. And an older man who used to sing in the older days say it's not resentobel but that the song actually says "bresento el kesos ra renguk." The word "bresento" is the word "present" as in gift but is pronounced like that. So, essentially it means "the gift which is precious to me" or close to my heart.
Perhaps, over time as people sang the song it eventually changed to risentobel...
