Someone reported ongetuk missing. It's not really missing because ongetul is in the dictionary. But they do provide a new definition for it: a gift brought to the family of the new mother. Confirm before I change the definition?

Maybe others can verify but I don't think they're necessarily gifts, unless food and drinks can be considered as such. They're usually a basket of taro or tapioca or billum, well, in the old days. Today, we'd bring a case or two of water, juice or pop. But I've seen some get creative and bring fruit baskets. Oh and I still see older women bring the taro, tapioca (either cooked or not) and billum.

I don't know what the root word is. I've never heard "ongat" being used, just ongetuk, ongetud, and ongetum.
