Was there supposed to be a link or attachment containing your explanation? I am not seeing anything in the email or in Debulge.

In any case, I think the definitions are accurate. It's often used to refer to something unusual or not very typical of someone. Usually, we'd say something like "Ng kora diak el chitel a Jim el di lmuk. Ng locha kmal mesulaul." (It's so unusual/not very typical for Jim to be so quiet. He's probably very sleepy.)

I am actually normally a very quiet person!  I attached a link to a google doc in the original message, but perhaps that didn't work.  Here is the text of my very long observation: The word “chitel” can have several different meanings, depending on the context.  Tekinged defines chitel as:  1) chitel; n.poss.3s; abandonment; renunciation; giving up. 2) chietel /chitel; n.poss.3s; chietel a chuit er ngii; menguit. The definitions in Kerresel a Klechibelau that match the first tekinged definition are: a) chitel a urrebetellel; b) kuureng me kmengai er a urreor, c) example usage:  becherei me lebo er a chitel. Urrebetellel, from ruebet, is defined in Tekinged as: a) organization or arrangement of things; b) the way things are put together; c) the place where something is supposed to fall. In the song Tiang di Ketenged Lomuchel, Ymesei Ezekiel wrote:  E kau a di diak modengei / leng chitel a rasechebeab, el diak le chubchubchad.  When Yoichi Rengiil and I were discussing this song in June, 2021, he translated the word chitel in this song phrase as being similar to teletelel, “it’s behavior or way of doing something.”  So, in the song, the reason why her lover doesn’t understand, is because she has the ways or manner of a cruel person (or of the rat itself). I followed up with Yoichi to clarify whether the “manner” described by chitel was limited to only negative aspects (of the rat, etc.) or if it covers both good and bad aspects he explained: It could be both … Because, for example, chitel can also mean … di chitel uai sei … kind of a behavior or character.  Then urrebetellel is kind of like … it kind of implies that things are settled down … ngar ngii a urrebetellel … it means that it fell into place This translation would fit under the definition (a) in Kerresel of being urrebetellel in the sense of it being the way things (or people) are put together.  But none of the definitions in Tekinged seem to cover this meaning.  I would propose we add “its manner” or some similar phrase.
